How to Create Stripe Promo Codes

If you run a SaaS web app and use Stripe for billing, you can generate coupon codes to offer free months or percentage discounts.

Step 1: Stripe Dashboard

Log in to your Stripe Dashboard.

Step 2: Navigate to Coupons

1. Go to "Products" > "Coupons".

Step 3: Create a Coupon

1. Click "+ New".
2. Name: e.g., "GetFree 100% Off".
3. Type: Percentage discount (100% for free).
4. Duration: Forever, Once, or Repeating.

Step 4: Create Client-Facing Codes

1. Scroll to "Promotion codes".
2. Click "+ Add promotion code".
3. Code: Enter the text users will type (e.g., GETFREE2025).
