How to Generate Codes for Apple App Store Connect

Promo codes are a powerful way to give early adopters, reviewers, and influencers free access to your paid iOS or macOS app. Apple allows you to generate up to 100 promo codes per version of your app.

Here is a step-by-step guide to generating these codes to share on GetFree.APP.

Step 1: Log in to App Store Connect

Navigate to App Store Connect and sign in with your developer account credentials.

Step 2: Select Your App

Click on "My Apps" and select the app for which you want to generate codes.

Step 3: Navigate to Promo Codes

• In the top navigation bar, ensure you are on the "Services" tab (or "Features" in some older interfaces, but typically it's under the general app info or Services tab depending on the current UI).
• Actually, in the modern App Store Connect:
• Click on the "Services" tab.
• Look for "Promo Codes" in the sidebar.

Note: If you don't see it, it might be hiding under the specific version details or the "General" section.

Correct Path for 2025:

• Go to your App Page.
• Click "Services" in the top menu.
• Select "Promo Codes" from the left sidebar.

Step 4: Request Codes

• Enter the number of codes you want to generate (Maximum 100).
• You can generate codes for the app itself or for specific In-App Purchases (IAPs).
• Click "Generate".

Step 5: Download and Distribute

Once generated, you will be able to download a text file containing the codes.

Important Notes:

• Codes expire 4 weeks after they are generated.
